A scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Livingstone Airport, a short transfer to Lost Horizons in the hills overlooking the Zambezi and the Falls
At Lost Horizons you will be accommodated in a twin bedded Chalet, with private facilities. From Lost Horizons you can explore Victoria Falls - there is a free shuttle service from the Camp to the Falls, and partake in the numerous 'adrenalin' activities available.
After three exhilarating days at Victoria Falls, you will be transferred by road to Kasane Airport just across the border in Botswana, for a light aircraft flight to Oddballs Camp, a journey of 80 minutes affording fantastic views over the Okavango Delta and its wildlife.
At Oddballs you will meet your personal Guide (one Guide for each two persons) who will accompany you on all your excursions.
Oddball's has both single and double sized 2mx2m tents erected on wooden platforms. The only way to get to Oddball's is by light aircraft, so you are limited on the amount of personal camping equipment you can take, so all your camping equipment- except sleeping bag - is included in your price.
Meals are taken in the central dining area, and communal hot and cold showers and washing facilities, together with toilet facilities are close on hand, (although perhaps not close enough at 3.00am with a camp full of lion!!)
What sets Oddball's apart from other safari camps is the setting, the informality and above all the legendary 'skull bar', where you will be regaled with adventure stories which are surely amongst the 'tallest' in Africa!
Your 2nd and 3rd nights will be spent out on Mokoro Trail. Accompanied by your own personal Guide, you and all the camping gear and food you need, will go out into the 'bush', find a suitable camping site, and pitch camp. Your Guide will assist you, but you prepare your own food from the hamper provide by Oddballs.
From your base camp you will explore the Moremi game Reserve by both mokoro and on foot, both quite unique and remarkable experiences.
The final night of your stay in the Okavango will be back at Oddballs.
From your four night stay at Oddballs Camp, you will take a light aircraft flight to Maun, to connect with a road transfer to Planet Baobab on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in the Kalahari Desert.
Here you will be accommodated in rustic traditional Bakalanga huts under a canopy of indigenous trees, your huts have every comfort including private hot water showers and flush loos.
Planet Baobab offers one of the most intriguing views of Africa, totally different to any other African destination. Your safaris will be on four wheel 'quad' motorcycles, and will take you deep into the pans where you will be able to visualise life as it existed tens of thousands of years ago.
Your first night will be spent in Planet Baobab accommodated in a Bakalanga Hut with private facilities
Your second night will be spent under the amazing canopy of stars in Nxai Pan, where you will be able to explore the area on 4x4 Quad motorcycles
From Makgadikgadi you will return to Maun to transfer to an Air Botswana Flight to Johannesburg Airport, arriving around 18.00 hrs. A short transfer to the conveniently located The Metcourt Laurel close to the Airport, for a brief overnight stay before boarding your flight to Vilanculos the following morning.
The following morning you will leave Johannesburg Airport with TTA Air Charters for the flight to Vilanculos on the coast of Mozambique. You will be met at the Airport and taken to Aguia Negra Lodge on the outskirts of the town.
At Aguia Negra you will be accommodated in a chalet with en-suite facilities. Aguia Negra is located right on the beach, and has various activities available. Included in your package is a snorkeling trip and dhow cruise. The town of Vilanculos just a short walk away is well worth visiting, with a colourful market and a warm and welcoming population.
After four relaxing nights at Aguia Negra you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg.
